During the world debut of the all-new Buick Envision Plus at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, General Motors only showed off the exterior of the range-topping Avenir trim level, leaving the Buick’s interior and lesser trim level details for another day. Now, the automaker has just revealed the first official images of the base variant and the interior of the Envision Plus for the Chinese market.

The entry-level Buick Envision Plus keeps the same exterior design as the Avenir, but as usual, styling elements and finishes set them apart. Among the differences, we find a different grille pattern, composed of slanted moldings and three horizontal bars under the chrome strip that supports the Tri-Shield logo, while black plastic trim protects the lower part of the body.

Surprisingly, the Buick Envision Plus for the Chinese market comes standard with a two-row, five-passenger seating layout that will stand out for boasting the most spacious cabin in the premium compact crossover segment. With its class-leading 111.5-inch wheelbase and efficient five-seat configuration, the Envision Plus offers ample passenger room and plenty of cargo space.

The images show that the interior of the Buick Envision Plus uses the exact same dash design as the regular second-generation model. The dashboard has a driver-oriented, asymmetrical layout in which the large embedded infotainment stands out, with an 18-degree angle towards the driver to facilitate readability and user friendliness.

The Envision Plus’ first- and second-row seats are equipped with heating, ventilation and position memory, while a panoramic roof and dual-zone automatic climate control are also available, among other things. The Avenir trim is expected to offer a third row of seats for a capacity of seven passengers, high-end materials, a generous amount of technological equipment and the latest advanced safety features.

The all-new Buick Envision Plus is the third member of the Envision family in China, joining the refreshed first-generation Envision and the regular version of the second-generation model, known locally as the Envision S. The new version of the Envision is expected to enter the North American market sometime this year, possibly wearing the Envision GX name, to expand Buick’s strong and successful line of crossover vehicles.
