Tahoe’s real estate market continues to be on a remarkable sky-high trajectory, climbing up and up and up.

March was a record-breaking month for real estate in Lake Tahoe, seeing $264 million in sales and capping off the “most prolific first quarter to any year in Tahoe,” says Jeff Brown, owner and general manager of Tahoe Mountain Realty.

Dauphin County security officer accused of asking ’14-year-old girl’ to video herself in bathroom

Dauphin County investigators charged a 55-year-old man who works as a security officer with four felonies after he requested bathroom video from someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl, according to court records.

The records said Rickey Williams, of Steelton, asked Det. Sgt Todd Johnson, who assumed the identity of a 14-year-old girl online, to send a video of the teen girl urinating. The records said Williams wanted the teen to send the video via the social media app Snap Chat, which deletes videos after the viewer sees them.

Remodeling upturn expected to carry into 2022

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Growth in improvement and repair expenditures to owner-occupied homes is expected to remain solid throughout the year and into 2022, according to the Leading Indicator of Remodeling Activity (LIRA) released today by the Remodeling Futures Program at the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University. The LIRA projects a healthy pace of mid-single digit gains in annual home renovation and repair spending this year, with 4.8 percent growth by the first quarter of next year.

PHOTOS: Final Turret-Cap Decoration Installed on Cinderella Castle for Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary

The final golden turret decoration has been installed on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom.

The castle is being decorated for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” honoring the park’s 50th anniversary.


After the first level of turret caps was installed, decorating went vertical to the second level.


The final turret cap is on the castle’s east side.


Like all of the other ribbon decor, it is gold with a hint of pink, and spirals around the turret towards the sky.
